High-speed railway construction works carried out within the Yerköy–Kayseri High-Speed Railway Project.

Overview

The Yerköy–Kayseri High-Speed Railway Project is designed as a 142 km double-track, electrified and signalized railway line, enabling mixed freight and passenger operations at speeds of up to 250 km/h. Upon completion, the current travel time between Yerköy and Kayseri, approximately 3.5 hours on the existing conventional railway, will be reduced to less than 1 hour. The Ankara–Kayseri journey will be shortened from approximately 7 hours to 2 hours, while the Istanbul–Kayseri travel time will be reduced to approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes.
